Naturally Green Furniture
Our specialty is hand-crafted furniture
that is green for the environment and the local economy.
We use high quality hardwood lumber from the local
Chicago area urban forest which has come down due
to storms or disease. Most of these trees have grown
for several generations, and continuing their life
in a new form is a great way of recycling. Using local
lumber also keeps transportation to a minimum, therefore
less fuel is
consumed and less carbon is emitted to the atmosphere.
All
our pieces are assembled with non-toxic, water-based,
FDA approved glue. The beauty of the wood is enhanced
by
using solvent-free, zero VOC resilient stains, and
then sealed
with earth-friendly, water-based, durable finishes.
We have expanded to our new location in Elk Grove IL. Now heated completely with sawdust & wood scraps. No dumpster waste here.

Black walnut never looked so good, this entertainment table hold every thing form the DVD, receiver, stereo & speakers with DVD storage on both sides. We use every part of the tree from the dark rich hart wood to the natural curve in the bark.
The unique wood was supplied by Horigan Urban Forest Products.
